As always this posting is the outcome of rumour, allegations, anecdote, observations and historical memory.
This ward is, as the North Street mafia know only too well a death trap for candidates, why do you think none of them would stand here? because they know that it is very likely that if Bert Collins does NOT stand then all 3 seats will be picked up by the BNP.
This is another ward that at the General Election will pass from Dagenham, where they have an MP who cares Jon Cruddas, over to Barking and Margaret Hodge, and North Street know they have a battle on their hands. Dagenham residents whether you move them to another constituency or not will not vote for Hodge. The grip of the BNP has tightened in this ward, they have a strong base of support, and Bert Collins is fighting a lone battle there with absolutely no support from North Street.
Bert Collins - A hardworking, quietly spoken man who is loyal to his party, but even more loyal to his friends, he knew what he was up against in 2006 and after the election night was over he worked long and hard to fight against the BNP in his ward. He is well known and respected by many of the residents, but will it be enough?
We really do not know what the up to date position is with Bert, but, we are aware that he stated several weeks ago that he would not stand again in Parsloes Ward and he made it quite clear that the reason he was not standing was because of the corrupt practices of the North Street mafia who lied and cheated to ensure that his friends were de selected.
Now Bert may very well change his mind, who can say? it may well be that residents in his ward have approached him to stand because they trust him and they have confidence in him, BUT, is this enough to encourage others to stand with him, on looking at the recent Euro election figures and last years GLA election figures we would say no!!! Bert may, and we hope he does, just get through, but in our opinion taking all the stats into consideration anyone who stands with him on a Labour ticket will be on a looser, and North Street knows it, that is why the dirty tricks had to be brought in so that they made sure they had the safe seats.
We apologise unreaservedly to Bert Collins for addressing this in such a manner, but, we are committed to being open with our readers.
As usual this posting is a matter of rumour, allegations, anecdote, observations and historical memory.
Whoever writes this should sort out the spelling and grammar. Even the blog title is spelt incorrectly.
ReplyDeleteThat is the biggets indictment of Nu Labour: Poor education.
biggets ??
ReplyDeleteWhy dont you place something like 'blogrankings' on this site.It records the number of visitors to the site (which I hazard a guess is massive).When they log on the site people can see the number of previous visitors displayed.It should rattle your opponents.Just 'google' the word go to the website and it downloads itself.
ReplyDeleteHe might be good at maths and english, but he is useless with people and morals.
ReplyDeleteHe knows an awful lot about rubbish bags and fly-tipping though.
Thanks for the tip on blogrankings we will get on to that over the weekend, in fact there are a number of new features in the pipeline.
ReplyDeleteAs for the spelling????? the spelling on the title of the blog is quite accurate, the fact that we have intentionally ommitted the apostrophe seems to be getting up some ones nose, he must have run out of free biscuits.
It's not acurate. I think it demeans the blog to be honest.
ReplyDeleteBarkings = many Barkings
ReplyDeleteBarking's = of Barking
Hope that helps.
Labour really ought to be capitalised as it is a proper noun when being used as short-form for The Labour Party.
Also, if Jon Cruddas is so caring why are the majority of BNP councillors in his present constituency?
Thanks once again for your critique of our spelling and grammar, but as we have said before we are quite happy with things as they are, we at least do have a sense of humour, and we do try to inject that where and when we can.
ReplyDeleteAs for your comments about Jon Cruddas can we suggest that you might like to go out and poll in the wards which are going over to M Hodge at the next general election as we have. You would pretty quickly find out that the residents in those wards will not vote for M Hodge.
Jon is well known and liked in those wards, and lets face it when you are talking about BNP councillors you are talking local elections and not general elections.
M Hodge needs to face up to the fact now that she will not win in Barking at the next General Election.
And also you need to look more closely at just who is going to fight the BNP in those wards, NO ONE at the moment, why? because the North Street mafia have lied and cheated and corrupted the system to ensure that they stand in the "safe seats".
Well they are in for a big shock because the view from the residents in the "safe seat" wards is that if their trusted and valued Councillors are not on the ballot paper there will be no vote for labour.
Its a really hard fact of life isnt it when the voters hold all of the power, as Labour is now learning in Norwich and we reckon will continue to learn in any other elections that are called.
As for your corrections to our spelling and grammar, if that is all that you can put forward as a reasoned argument against this blog, we take it that you agree with all other points we have raised.
Despite your continual disregard for the rules of grammar, I have found something to praise about your site. Without following a link to the site 'Blog Flux' handily provided on your blog, I would not have come across the superb Front Doors and Entrances blog:
ReplyDeletehttp;//iserve1.co.uk/front-entrance-doors/
No hidden agenda, no sales pitch, just someone waxing lyrical about their love of front doors - beautiful.
I defy anyone to read all the postings on this blog and not lose all meaning in either the word 'front' or the word 'doors.'
Anon @ 13.29 glad to be of assistance, but doors has what to do with the serious matters under discussion here.
ReplyDeleteHow condescending to spend time pointing out people's spelling and grammatical errors! Are you implying that you are a superior being simply because you feel you have a greater grasp of the English language or is it a feeble attempt to detract from the actual issues raised? I suggest your time could be better spent in looking at your own moral values, which is a far greater judge of a person, not on the quality of their education. It serves only to remind me of a playground bully who feels so inadequate as a person they have to make a public display of others faults however inconsequential those faults maybe. Those commenting on this blog may not have been as blessed as you whilst passing through the educational system but appear to have far more welcome qualities such as a conscience. Having been educated in Barking I am in no doubt that you have an itch to correct my comments as I am sure they do not meet with your high standards. If this is the case feel free to scratch away as I really do not give a damn as to what you think.
ReplyDeleteIn reference to the doors you seem so impressed by, did it give advice on how not to be hit by one on your way out?
ReplyDeleteAre these people really adults????
ReplyDeleteIts all a load a bolox really or is it bollocks, seems no one can spell on this site. Maybe you should go back to school and get educated. Actually go get a job and start paying some taxes or are you claiming benefits and wasting tax payers money to set up this site. Absolutely disgraceful low lifes.
