A couple of important issues for your attention

Before we progress on to the potted bios of the new candidates we have been asked to make the next couple of statements.

Mr Ray Collins General Secretary of the Labour Party, will you please answer why you have failed to respond to the many letters and emails that have been sent to you about the selection process in Barking by members of many years standing within the party.

These members have taken great care to outline to you the fraud and corruption that has been ongoing during this process going right back to the begining where we understand that you have been mis-lead into thinking that the Local Government Committee took the decision to run the selections in this manner. You have been advised we understand and quite rightly that this did not happen.

So Mr Collins we as party members and therefore the people who pay your wages, and the people who expect you to stand for fairness and justice within our party demand an answer.

Secondly, we have been asked to note that John (brown envelope) Davis has written a letter to the Dagenham Post, where he claims among other things, that he was interviewed by a panel of 4/5 people when going through the initial selection panel meeting.

We have also been very reliably informed that the selection for panel interviews on the day J Davis should have attended comprised of 2 people.

So on the strength of our information do we conclude that the earlier, rumour, allegation and observation which stated that John Davis was not interviewed in the same manner as all other sitting councillors, and in fact did just sit down for a chat with R Chapman.

We dont suppose for one minute that John will enter into a dialogue on this blog or will he?
