We have as we said before been receiving many emails re the antics of the North Street Mafia, and in a large number of them we have been asked to pay careful attention to the selection procedure that has been used by the Local Government committee.
We have been told that the LGC held an agm last October, which in many's view was manipulated by the mafia with the aid of Rob Chapman........we will go into that at length in a future posting.
But we have with legal help been going through the Labour Party Rules, and today we have just picked out 2 examples from Chapter 20 Appendix iv which are the NEC procedural rules for the selection of local government Candidates for elections.
Now we are going to hold the real big questions back for a little longer because further research has to be done, but, here is just a couple of the rules where it is quite clear that instead of acting as a committee, or even the executive of that committee it appears that the Chairman - Darren Rodwell and the Secretary - Dominic Twomey have been taking decisions that have had a major impact on so many people WITHOUT the authority of the LGC.
Chapter 20. D4.
Nominees must be legally qualified, and not disqualified, to stand for the local authority at the election concerned. It is required of LGCs that they take steps to check on disqualifications under the relevant legislation as well as any party requirements when compiling their panel of prospective candidates.
It is quite obvious that Messrs Rodwell and Twomey did not do this.
E. Endorsement of applicants to the panel of approved candidates.
E1. All applicants recommended for inclusion in its panel of candidates must be submitted to a meeting of the management committee of the LGC concerned.
We have been informed that this did not happen, and that there are no minutes of such a meeting.
Therefore NONE of the candidates who are allegedly on the panel have the endorsement of the Local Government Committee, and it therefore follows that the selection interviews could be considered null and void.
And also Mr Dominic Twomeys announcement to the Dagenham Post giving the names of Selected candidates is bogus.
As we have stated at the begining this is just the start of an in depth look at the breaches in the Party rules that have taken place during this whole corrupt selection procedure, and once again it looks as though all fingers are pointing to North Street.
Good on you, its about time this little nest was opened up, the whole procedure for selections is dogged by corruption, led in the main by Rodwell and Twomey.
ReplyDeleteIts strange how they backed off of Dagenham though, too frightened to go in there and start throwing their weight around.
I hope that you get to the bottom of this because there are an awful lot of members who are totally disgusted with the whole thing.

I agree, having been an active member previously witin a neighbouring borough, its about time the corruption of region was challenged properly. Ken Clark et al are definetly not to be trusted, its one thing to sit on the fence, its another to play on both sides, its another completely to say you own the fence and no one else can play. The regional body should be ashamed of itself, there is no way even with the BNP active locally that I will come out and campaign for candidates that don't have the support of the majority of their peers. And I know I'm not alone in my thinking...
ReplyDeleteWell we all know that the mafia reads this blog, because of the snidey comments that are often made.
ReplyDeleteBut I bet you wont get an answer to the questions you have raised.
They seem to believe they are bullet proof and dont have to abide by any rules. Perhaps they will have a big shock coming their way soon.

If they are so sure they are right, then they should have no problem in answering your questions.

You four or five crack me up, you'll do absolutely anything to be councillors again won't you?
ReplyDeleteI met Cllr Val Rush at a coffee moring that was hosted by Margaret Hodge on the Gascoigne Estate. I made the same offer to both of Val and Margaret. I was happy to help them in any way I could. Never heard back from Val, she seemed more interested in bad mouthing the MP, even though the MP was supporting her campaign for the residents parking scheme.
ReplyDeleteWell like i said Val never got back to me, but someone phoned me the next week telling me how i could get involved in the Labour campaign in the Barking. I joined them doorknocking in King Edwards Road in Gascoigne Ward it was pretty good fun and the people i was out with which didn't include the local councillors were good labour people.
Now this blog worries me, i am neither in favour of either side i just want Labour to win in Barking but this blog seems so one sided and the allegation made about people so horrible that it can not be doing the local party any good.
Just some of my thoughts, i wonder whether i will be attacked like others for leaving comments.
Thank you for the overnight comments.
ReplyDeleteCan we please respond to anon @18.11 we do wonder why you feel you will be attacked for leaving a comment.
We have stated many times that we welcome comment and open debate.
We would suggest though that if you have a complaint against Cllr Val Rush or any issue with her which reading your comment you appear to have, then why post anon? why not put your name to your complaint? it would then give Val Rush the opportunity if she wanted to take it to respond on this forum.
It also appears to us that even though you state that "i am neither in favour of either side" you are keen to drop into your comment certain little asides like, "Val Rush was more interested in bad mouthing the MP" and how you went out canvassing with them in King Edwards Road.
Others who read this blog, and those who comment may well perceive that you may have your own agenda.
So please dont take this as an attack, just a little bit of advice, if you have a genuine complaint then put your name to it.
Sorry Editor, but think you have been a bit too polite in your comments to anon.
ReplyDeleteIts so obvious to me that this anon is in with the mafia, I am surprised that you have been so restrained.
Still they are not too clever are they with their silly comments, we do fish them out in the end.

ReplyDeleteI would leave my name but to be honest i am a bit frightened to do so because of comments that have already been left on this blog and why don't you leave your name.
I only mentioned Val Rush because she was the only councillor i spoke to i noticed Milton McKenzie in the room but he never said hello and Kay Flint was absent from the meeting.
I went out with them as i had offered to help the Labour party and they contacted me. I don't have an agenda other than wanting the Labour Party to win in Barking and Dagenham.
A concerned and somewhat confused Labour supporter and Gascoigne resident.
Why on earth would the "somewhat confused Labour supporter and Gascoigne resident" be frightened to put their name to their complaint.
ReplyDeleteDo they honestly believe that someone is going to go round in their size 10 boots and kick their door in or something.
Sorry anon @2.37 the more you comment the more I get the distinct impression its a put up job.
Using words like frightened etc. gives people the wrong impression dont you think? Or is this the new direction of the North Street mafia? are they now going to start claiming that they are in fear? are frightened? etc.
Dont make us laugh, you started all of this, with your lies, and corruption, you set out to ruin the reputation of trusted and hard working councillors, and now that there is an open forum where party members and the public can have their voice heard, the voice that you have tried so hard to stifle over the last couple of years, you are now claiming you are frightened.
Dont make me laugh. And if anon was truly genuine then accept my apology, but it looks as though you have become another tool for North street to use.

Think we have strayed off message here folks. Can we please get back to the issue at hand, it seems as though there have been 2 breaches of the Party Rules, that have been discovered so far in the Selection process.
ReplyDeleteWhat we are asking for is an explanation from Messrs Rodwell and Twomey.
So lets stick with that please.
Editor, in response to your 00:31 answer from anon 18:11. It appears that you were straight down his/her throat with your reply. As I read it, there was absolutely no "complaint" at all about Councillor Val Rush, just statements of fact. Being an editor, something I would assume you should know something about. He/she stated, she, Val Rush never got back to him, well did she or didn't she? The local councillors, he/she said never attended the walkabout in King Edward's Road. Did they, or didn't they? No complaints there then methinks, just mixing and stirring comments from your good selves I feel.
ReplyDeleteCome on Rodwell and Twomey lets get back on track here, over the last 2 postings your little cronies have tried to muddy the waters for you, but, you cannot wriggle off the hook.
ReplyDeleteSo just answer the questions posed on your alleged breach of the rules.
