And so we come to the 2nd little piggy Laila Butt, now many have said that what this young woman knows about politics, and the Labour Party could be written on the back of a postage stamp. And from our investigations this appears to be true.
The same could also be said about her ability to act as a secretary to Barking CLP, having seen some of her early correspondence we can appreciate the fact that all correspondence and minutes etc are in all probability covered by M Hodges staff at North Street.
When it comes to politics though the same cannot be said of her father we have been told, we have seen evidence that clearly links him into politics in Pakistan in a big way, much the same as Mr Aziz. We understand that they both have a strong political base within the Pakistan Peoples Party which for many years has been under the control of the Bhutto family.
Many of our readers will be aware that the Pakistan Peoples Party has long held the label of corruption. And now it seems or appears that a level of that corruption is seeping into Barking labour party.
We doubt that there are many true labour party members in Barking that will not say that corruption has firmly taken hold with North Street as its base.
For some time Laila Butt was we are told even working for M Hodge, but then we hear that Laila decided she would go to college to study Law we understand, and this is where the link with Mohammad Riaz can be confirmed.
Bear in mind we have established the link between Mr Aziz and Mr Riaz as they had been into business together.
We have evidence that Mr Riaz decided to attend the same college and study Law the same as Laila Butt.
We have also discovered that it was Laila who encouraged Mr Riaz to rent a property in Barking & Dagenham, and also to join the Labour Party.
As many of our readers have stated it seems Laila Butt has great difficulty making and keeping friends who are female, in fact many of the Muslim woman dislike her intensely, but she does not appear to have the same problem with the males.
After setting the scene in our next post we will set out for you just what the 3 of them got up to next.

I have seen Laila Butt in action at party meetings and socials and you are right in what you say about her dealings with the men in the party, she certainly knows how to put herself about a bit.

ReplyDeleteThe so called Labour party MP Margaret Hodge is now using House of Commons headed paper and money for postage to continue this smear campaign against our hard working long standing councillors Cllr Barns & Cllr Rawlinson of Thames Ward , Ms Hodge is sending out letter's to residents of Thames ward stating she is address local issues that have been raised weeks ago and addressed by cllr Barns already !!!! Trying to make it look like she is working for our ward ( what a joke ) !!

I think we the residents should give them all a call to ask why the THAMES WARD LABOUR PARTY HAVE BEEN ACTING IN SUCH A UNDERHAND AND CORRUPT WAY IN PAST MONTHS AS IS CLEAR AS THE NOISE ON YOUR FACE THAT, Cllr Fred Barns & Cllr Joan Rawlinson have been hounded out and off the selection panel of the coming 2010 elections bearing in mind that is the residents right of vote (not the labour party) nor is it with the remit of the labour party to ask/expect/tell the public to contact non-elected members when we still have too dedicated hardworking members working for us till next may 2010 !!!!!!!

Thanks for that contact information; I will certainly be contacting M Hodge to ask why we are losing Fred and Joan in such an underhand way and also why these leaflets are going out - although we have never had one and live on Thames View - asking us to contact people we have never heard of if we have a problem.

Well said on the previous comments, I think there are a number of areas in Barking that will agree with you.
ReplyDeleteHow can they give telephone numbers of un-elected people out. What will these people do if you ring with a problem? For a start where is the agreement of confidentiality, as I understand that when councillors are elected they have to sign a confidentiality agreement.
Who will these people go to with your problem? they cannot contact council officers can they? because if thats the case you might just as well sort out the problem yourself.
I will continue to go to my elected councillor, and iI just hope that if the labour party dont sort out this corruption, that my councillors stand as Independants.
Labour will not win unless it sorts out the corruption.

I live in Thames View and have done for the past 7 years. In that time I have not seen a single councillor at my door. I know Fred from the work that I do in the voluntary sector but could not even point out the other councillor that you talk about. I will be voting for these people and hope that things will change on Thames View for the better.
ReplyDeleteThe other Councillor you have mentioned is Joan Rawlinson who lives on and does most of her work for Scrattons Farm estate which is a part of Thames Ward. She helps out Fred a lot behind the scenes, but concentrates on the area she knows and lives in. This works very well as if she didn't do this we wouldn't see a Councillor on Scrattons Farm. Fred helps when he can, and visits when necessary, but it makes sense for Joan to work in the area she lives in.

What ever happened to the Barking Labour Party that I used to love to hate. They have seemingly lost sight of their external enemies just when the worst ever external enemies have arisen. Now they are not satisfied until they have brought civil war on themselves and given power to the BNP. Barking is where the Labour Party needs to be stronger than anywhere in the UK, and yet all they do is fight each other and in doing so hand power to the BNP. Shame on you all. The common enemy is not former and current Labour councillors, it is the thugs that will deny you, me and every other democratic politician the very air we breath. Get a spine and fight the fascists, not each other.

I live in Abbey Ward. I approached Laila with a very sensitive issue regarding my son. I must say, she was absolutely wonderful.

we think the last 2 posters need to move on as we have, we are all very much aware that the only group that Laila Butt and her friends are representing on the council are from her own ethnic group as anon @07.09 has made clear.
