Cast your minds back a few weeks when we drew to your attention a really poor report from the Children's services Select committee, yes that's right, the me me me I I I report of the Lead Member. We were rightly critical of the report and the Lead Member Linda Rice.
Well it appears that the labour group listened to us and agreed, last night at the groups AGM Linda Rice lost her place as Lead Member to Laila Butt..........no worries there we are all very much aware of just how lazy Ms Butt is.
Who else moved around? you may ask, well Nirmal Gill is new Chair of Assembly. Saint Rodwell has passed his Lead Member on Safer communities to Tariq Saeed, questionable one this, Rodwell of course has gone where he will be most happy, Finance.
We would suggest that it might be a good idea if the auditors who have to report to his committee have a good look at his companies finance.
The real headache is the move of Evilyn Carpenter to group secretary. We just warn hold on to your hats its going to get bumpy.
We were asked a few days ago why she lost her job with the council. We understand it was an accumulation of issues, ie Evilyn is not a team player, she cannot follow a line managers instructions, Evilyn is ALWAYS right even when she is wrong. But, we believe the final straw was an issue over financial irregularities.
We will post more as we find out.
Editor, it seems that the voters of Twomey's Ward will not forgive him for not being avilable to them, as he should be, for them recently, when he was canvassing in Thurrock.
ReplyDeleteFurthermore Ms. Carpenter should be just as worried in her Ward, for not listening to their grievances agains't the fiasco there recently.
All in all many Barking Councillors should be worried about the next election, and the safety of their seats. Methinks many of them are just keeping them warm for others to move into next time round. As for Ms. Bhutt, lazy is not the only word you could affix to her. Ignorant is good one don't you agree.
As according to you all councillors are part of the North Street Mafia and are all therefore equally incompetent, useless, dishonest, corrupt
ReplyDeleteetc etc does it really matter which councillor holds which post.
Editor, please assist me in my endeavour to solve a poser that has been puzzling me now for quite a while. After reading your latest piece, Iread with interest the letters page of the Dagenham Post. Someone there posed the question of just what Margaret Hodge has done. There is a photo of her with Councillors, and she does get herself in quite a few photo's, but in the time she has been an M.P., could you tell me just what she has done for Barking? I know she has been a Minister, but, and I pose the question in all honesty, what has she actually done in seventen years, for Barking?
ReplyDeleteof course we are happy to respond
ReplyDeleteNOTHING
I notice that Margaret Hodge has won five elections.
ReplyDeleteYes. And royally fucked the decent working people of the borough. The woman who called for Academy primary schools! Yes more PFI! And ALMO's in Housing. thank the lord she wasnt in charge of teh Council and couldn't actually do anything except buy more expensive shoes. Another Nu-Labour disgrace.
ReplyDeleteAlibon Joker
Dear Albion Joker
ReplyDeleteMay I ask what is wrong with Acadamy primary schools. May I also point out wasn't should have an spostrophe, teh should be the and Nu is spelt new.
anon 05.06 with your comments and telling others how to spell and abreviate, maybe you should learn to spell yourself. Look at the way you spelled, academy, maybe you should attend one.
ReplyDeleteMy apologies for my spelling mistake. However I would point out that abreviate is spelt abbreviate.
ReplyDeletePerhaps you could also answer my question about what is wrong with Academy primary schools. If academies are so bad there doesn't seem to be any point in my attending one.
